The philosophy about IowaGoGreen.com is simple, we know earth day is 365 days a year; it is not just a focus one day or week in April. We also believe that central Iowans inherently want to do the right thing, to make even the smallest impact on our communities and planet so we want to help that along. We know that negative environmental messages aren’t helpful, don’t just talk about the problems but how we can help.

But for most of us as we’re bombarded by green messages right now, coming from all directions about everything you can possibly imagine and we wonder what does it all mean? Wading through product labels, advertising, articles, and terms such as “sustainable”, “natural”, “environmentally friendly” can be overwhelming at times.

IowaGoGreen.com is here to help central Iowans wade through the green and hopefully provide insight, help, credible content and expertise, and maybe inspiration that we can all make changes. We know we need more than just knowing something is environmentally friendly, we need a personal reason to make a change and the knowledge, support and inspiration to follow it through and align everyday actions with personal values.

IowaGoGreen.com isn’t just a website; it’s a long term commitment from one of the largest media companies, Clear Channel, to continue to grow the program. It will be heavily supported via our radio stations, Capital 106.3, WHO Radio, KXNO, The Bus 100.3, KISS 107 FM and the Iowa Radio Network. We will also be sponsoring events, speakers, educational programs and other programs as we continue to grow.

We’re in the early stages of IowaGoGreen.com so please bear with us as we grow, expand our content and hopefully support Iowans in their quest to more environmentally friendly. Our mission is simple to help create more sustainable communities in Iowa by connecting enlightened consumers with credible, relevant, timely and potentially earth saving content.
